Dated in the top left with GRIII on a hanging satchel.
In all round good condition, age related wear and consistent craquelure to the surface. Housed in a burr maple frame and gilt slip, the original lap jointed stretcher is strong and taught some elderly patch repairs are evident on the back.
Early 19th century in age, English in origin.
