Barbara Vassilieff Lighthouse Painting

This is a watercolor painting by listed artist Barbara Vassilieff (1901-2000) featuring a stormy nautical landscape with lighthouse. The gold frame measures 40×32 inches, and the painting itself is approximately 28.5×21 inches. It is signed in the lower right-hand corner.

The exact date of the painting is not precisely known but it is presumably mid-20th century. It was purchased directly by my grandparents from the artist’s New York studio in the ’80s or ’90s.
