This pair of vintage Chinese Foo Dog carved soapstone bookends is hand-carved from a grey marbled soapstone. They are wonderfully detailed and quite heavy for their size. They can be used as bookends or as decorations on a mantel or shelf.

Foo Dogs are actually lions, and are said to provide good luck, safety and protection to their dwellings.
