A French demi-lune wood table, which converts to a round table, from the early 19th century. This antique table from France features a half moon top over a rounded apron. The skirt is clean in design, with raised carved diamond accents above each of the forward facing legs. This piece is raised upon four legs, each squared and tapering towards their petite caster feet. This demi-lune table has a flip-top allowing it to extend into a circular shape. The rear leg then pulls outward as a gate leg for support. The table is approximately 40 inches in diameter when fully open. This French table, circa 1800-1820, would work well as an accent piece in a foyer or living room, perhaps doubling as an impromptu option for additional dining or card games.
