Dorothy Hafner 1984 Signed Madras Color Block Postmodern Creamer and Sugar

A 1984 Postmodern color block creamer and sugar signed by American artist Dorothy Hafner (born 1952). From the Madras Collection designed for Neiman Marcus, the set features a purple, pink, and green pastel design with a black border accent. Each piece is marked “Dorothy Hafner ’84 for Neiman Marcus” to the underside and is signed.

Ceramist and glass artist Dorothy Hafner completed her graduate work at Skidmore College in 1974. She has designed tableware for Tiffany & Co., Neiman Marcus, and Rosenthal. Two of Hafner’s works are featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
