A good looking and well made and super decorative piece, I have never seen another like it, each panel including the sides is decorated with six sterling silver, embossed panels which depict human activities, inside we find to gold gilt engraved panels which read as follows

Human activities
The 24 tiles in silver 800 (stamped with silversmith stamp and lille stamp) reproduce and re-propose the marble tiles ascribed to Giollo in collaboration with Pisano and Maso da Banca
They were placed on the bell tower of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence and nore they are shown in the Museum of the Duomo
The production of the silver tiles is made by craftsmen and they are embossed with a particular technique typical of the engravers brain

So there you have it, a very interesting piece with lots of detail that really is the conversation piece of all conversation pieces, its rare that something comes in to stock that commands attention like this
We have cleaned waxed and polished it, there are plenty of old patina marks, some scratches to the top of the marble, two of the panels have been pushed in on the sides, one more so than the other, there was a shelf but its not longer present, none of it really matters though, this is a work of art in any condition
