McGuire Organic Modern Rattan and Cane Back Armchair

A sinuous rattan framed armchair featuring a woven honeycomb cane back crafted in the California coastal organic modern style by McGuire. The chair has a gracefully curved pole rattan back that becomes the arms and front legs. The rattan is reinforced with leather rawhide strapping in a cream tone on the exposed joints. The seat has a fitted loose seat cushion in the original vintage fabric that still shows well. Solid and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Works great as a desk chair. From an estate in San Francisco, California. McGuire plaque on bottom.

Condition: Good, wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with strong, solid joinery construction. Age appropriate wear and faded patina on rattan and vintage upholstery as seen in photos. Very minor chips and scuffs as expected.
