21st c., three artisan crafted small organic form jewelry boxes. One is a Rewarewa wood box with pine handle. The second is in Elm with am Elm handle. The smaller box is made of Australian Red Cedar with Kauri drawer front, unmarked. The two larger boxes are stamped on the underside with maker’s mark “G” with image of a bee. All three boxes have compartments lined in a royal blue felt.
These boxes are very tactile and have smooth organic shapes. Together they form a lovely grouping. To our mind, the small box looks like an abstract elephant while the other two conjure up images of fish and dolphins.
