Rare Antique Double Bonnet Chest of Drawers w 7 Drawers Cherry and Tiger Maple 1850s Era

A rare antique 1850s Empire style cherry and tiger maple double bonnet chest of drawers with seven drawers. An Empire style cherry case with a tiger maple front. Left and right tall drawers were called bonnet drawers for ladies bonnets and or men’s dress hat storage. Turned legs with a half column down the front. Very clean original finish.

Overall 44 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 45.50 inches tall. Older minor repairs to two drawer slides. Drawers sit straight and operate smoothly. All drawers are hand dove tailed with single board champher panel bottoms. Bonnet drawers inside dimensions are 9.75 inches wide by 9 inches tall by 18.50 inches deep back to front.
