FEAR NO ART: Andre came up with the idea when recovering from a severe automobile accident in the streets of Los Angeles in the early 1980’s. From Andre’s memoir: “FEAR NO ART. This was the battle cry as I wrestled with the angels to turn darkness into light, death into life, and chaos into order. There were big themes to express. Life is a precious gift. Love is reliable magic. Obstacles became challenges. God was within. I became exhilarated by creating art that was not only intimate and personal but surprisingly filled with laughter. DON’T FEAR IT!

Andre Miripolsky Bio:

Los Angeles-based multimedia artist Andre Miripolsky loves his city and uses his talent and keen understanding of pop imagery to showcase LA’s energy and vitality. Born in Paris; and raised in Iran, Thailand, Austria, France, Indonesia, and Korea; he has worked on both coasts and is internationally recognized for pushing the limits in everything he touches.
He was educated at CalArts in L.A., but his rise to real art stardom began in 1980 in New York City, creating art and costumes for superstars like Elton John (the famous 1980 Concert in Central Park “Piano Keys” costume) and Bette Midler. That success was soon followed by commissioned work for Quincy Jones, The Rolling Stones, and sets for “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.
