Spanish Ceramic Cloche With Under Plate

Large vintage Spanish Froilan Talavera faience ceramic cheese or bread dome with matching under plate, decorated with Provençal styling of hand-painted flowers and goldenrod accents over a white glaze. Four pierced air holes at top of cloche. Traditionally used for outdoor dining and suitable for desserts and fruits as well as cheese or bread. Both dome and under plate are hand-signed. Good condition, minor imperfections, no chips or cracks. Dated to the 1980s. Total dimensions: 11.1″W x 11.1″D x 8.1″H; dome, 9.6″W x 9.6″D x 6.4″H; under plate, 11.1″W x 11.1″D x 1.8″H.
