19th Century Welsh Folk art Column Form
Really quite extraordinary piece of Welsh folk art, “The Marquess of Angleseys Column” dating mid to late 19th Century. Constructed from carved pieces of slate from North Wales. Made from the Welsh slate miners as ornaments and gifts. We have never seen the like and probably never will again. A real museum piece of sculpture folk art.
