A very rare pair of early 19th Century Regency rosewood card tables with satinwood inlay throughout. This fabulous pair are of exceptional quality, finely hand carved with rich patination and grain. The well figured moulded, hinged top of D-end form is beautifully inlaid with a satinwood border band and folds back to reveal a fitted green baize playing surface. Raised over a classically simple frieze featuring a stunning inlaid, stylised greek key design, flowerhead paterae and decorative boxwood stringing, supported on elegantly tapering square leg with delicate line inlay and bell husk motif detail.
