On offer here is a fantastic coffee table or low table that originates in rural Spain and dates circa 1800. The table has a unique top that was made from one single board of solid chestnut wood that is 1.2 inches thick. The top has a beautiful flamed grain pattern with warm brown color and deep gloss. It features many small scratches, dents spots, and other marks of use that give the table its unique character. The top was joined to the base with forged steel nails. The table base has simple, square, slightly tapered legs, and features two very wide drawers. The drawers have an elevated front panel divided into two carved panels. Both drawers are fitted with an authentic working lock, forged oval keyplate, and key. The table was completely made in solid chestnut wood and has a beautiful color with a great patina and deep gloss. The grain pattern of the chestnut wood is visible throughout all the wood on this table. The table is very solid and ready for use.
