This interesting stoneware lidded jar stands on a narrow round unglazed flat foot with a wide round body and narrow opening with unglazed edge and fitted with a domed cover with central raised handle. The jar is hand decorated in green glazes on a white glazed ground with two deer and two birds set among an abstract scrolling pattern with trees. The cover is similarly decorated.
