Dutch Silver Fish Server by Jacob van wijk, 1824
A large silver fish serving scoop of 36 cm long, made in 1824 by the silversmith Jacob van Wijk in Amsterdam. The silver blade of the fish scoop has an openwork pattern. The Dutch silver server is marked with the Dutch hall marks, Lion 2 for 833/000 purity of silver, Year letter P for 1824, Minerva head ( assayer’s mark) for Amsterdam and Master sign by Jacob van Wijk, this mark used during 1819-1846
The spoon measures 36 cm long, 9 cm wide and the depth is 4 cm.
