moreThe ewer is in very good vintage condition. There is one fleabite on the bottom right edge of a crab plate (see photo). On the front lobster plate there is a small fleabite on the bottom green portion and a shallow chip on the bottom of the plate that was partly colored in at some point (see photo). On the top handle there is a surface crack that I believe is original to the piece, as the glaze smoothly filled in the crack in a color consistent with other areas of the jug with deeper relief carving; this crack does not go through to the underside of the handle nor does it extend across the entire top of the handle (see photo). A similar crack appears on the left side of the lower handle where it meets the body of the jug (see photo); similarly, I believe this is original to the piece and the crack does not go through to the underside. less
