Country home side table made by hand in an unusual model. The table is folk art from Sweden and made during the early 1800s. It’s an unusual model as it combines aspects from both tables and sideboards and works as a combination furniture. The table has a large table top which can be lifted off the base. The base itself works as a small cabinet with two doors. The table is made in pine and has the original first layer of paint from the early 1800s.
Also make note of the hand wrought iron hinges on the doors. The table has decorative panels on the short sides and even the back of the table is painted with the original paint. Usually the back has been left wood bare. Healthy and solid. Today this table could work well as for example a work table or a low kitchen island. The table top measures 163×91 cm.
