A set of two lidded wood boxes traditionally used in a Japanese tea ceremony to showcase and store fresh tea leaves and the incense used for the season.
The lidded tea container called NATSUME (TEA CADDY) is hand made of a light wood. The wood grain on the bottom container and the lid match nicely
The wide and shallow KOGO (INCENSE CONTAINER) has an intricate pattern of the wood grain.
