Sheet steel bookcase (Model 1408) made of solid copper designed and manufactured by Piet Hein Eek in 2009. This bookcase was part of a furniture series made of sheet steel and is typical of his work as a Dutch Designer with a focus on simple technical and practical solutions but a powerful visual appearance. The bookcase is in very good condition and the copper has aged nicely over the years.
