Vintage Design
A metal desk lamp designed by Josef Hůrka and produced by Napako in the 1960s. Napako was founded in 1919 through the merger of several small private companies in Prague, and the name is formed from the first syllables of three words – NÁstrojaři, PAsíři, KOvotlačitelé (toolmakers, smiths, metal spinners). Since the 1940s, Napako has been associated with the name of Josef Hůrka, who designed very popular lighting fixtures for the company for decades. This lamp features a swivelling shade, which is mounted on a brass rod. Both the shade and base are painted gold. The lamp has not been refurbished, but it is fully functional and in very good condition. It takes one size E14 bulb.
