An elegant tempietto style gazebo model with a gilt Romanesque tile dome. Wood structure that is painted white. Supported by four columns with gilt trim and accented by a final. Circular base has gilt trim as well. Created in the spirit of the great temple structures of ancient Roman antiquity.
Originally created for the Dallas Museum of Art’s Silver Supper event. Custom designed by architect Cole Smith FAIA for this event, while the final piece was created by Artist Michael Stallings. Early 2000’s United States.
In good condition. Gentle wear consistent with age and use. Some wear present on the dome tiles.
This neoclassical style model would make a wonderful addition to any bookshelf or study, or as a stunning centerpiece for an elegant table. This would make a beautiful centerpiece.
