“Andy Warhol” by Artist Peter Keil 1994 Painting

Peter Keil is a German artist that focuses primarily on abstract expressionism. Keil painted with some of the greats including Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol, to name a few. This is a phenomenal painting of Peter’s friend and mentor, Andy Warhol. It is signed and dated “P. Keil ‘94” in the lower right corner and executed on a canvas like cloth. Oftentimes, Peter painted on cloth he had before being able to afford canvas. It is titled and signed with location “‘Andy Warhol’, Peter Keil, Berlin” on the verso. The art is in great condition with typical signs of age and wear. This piece was purchased directly from the Keil family, acting on behalf of Peter.
