Hans Ressdorf (1918-2011) was a well respected oil painter who impressionistic work was shown in galleries in Aspen, Vail, Santa Fe, Scottsdale, Minneapolis, Dallas and Colorado. Born in Mulheim, Germany he studied with well known German impressionist painters Paul Daley and G. Martin. After WWII he immigrated to the USA. This depiction is of a church in Canoncito NM and represents his expansive knowledge of both landscapes and Southwestern architecture. Muted, earthy colors mix well in hour favorite space.
